# Run attorney assignment and calendar review

This workflow processes attorney assignments and calendar review using attorney profiles, schedules, rotations, and location data, then sends qualifying schedule events to Guidewire and supports CSV export of the assignment list.

## Steps

1. `clsAssignmentManager` and `clsQuickCalManager` handle [frmAssignment](../../screens/frm-assignment.md) and [frmCalendarReview](../../screens/frm-calendar-review.md) — owned by [SAIF.Application.Claim.Legal](../../libraries/saif-application-claim-legal/overview.md).
2. [SAIF.Business.Claim.Legal](../../libraries/saif-business-claim-legal/overview.md) executes `clsAssignmentProcess` and calendar-review retrieval using attorney profiles, schedules, rotations, and location data ([ATTORNEY_SCHEDULE](../../libraries/saif-business-claim-legal/database-tables.md#attorney_schedule), [ATTORNEY_WORKER_ASSIGNMENT](../../libraries/saif-business-claim-legal/database-tables.md#attorney_worker_assignment), [OUT_OF_TOWN_ROTATION_ASSGN](../../libraries/saif-business-claim-legal/database-tables.md#out_of_town_rotation_assgn)).
3. `SAIF.Application.Claim.Legal` packages the returned assignment list, detail rows, and workload data for the grids.
4. `SAIF.Application.Claim.Legal` sends qualifying schedule events to Guidewire after assignment processing completes.
   - In non-production environments, this send is subject to environment-aware redirection logic ([BR-APP-004](../business-rules.md#br-app-004-non-production-safety-redirection)).
   - On failure: the Guidewire call failure is logged but does not fail the assignment save ([BR-APP-006](../business-rules.md#br-app-006-guidewire-integration-is-best-effort)).
5. [SAIF.Services.Export](../../libraries/saif-services-export/overview.md) produces the CSV download path for assignment-list export.

## Failure and edge-case behavior

- Guidewire schedule update failure: logged, does not fail the underlying assignment processing ([BR-APP-006](../business-rules.md#br-app-006-guidewire-integration-is-best-effort)).
- Non-production environment: external Guidewire/calendar integration logic is redirected per the non-production safety rule ([BR-APP-004](../business-rules.md#br-app-004-non-production-safety-redirection)).
